Donn A Szaro and Family Healthcare MBA Endowed Scholarship

Florida State University College of Business is honored to announce the establishment of the Donn A. Szaro and Family Healthcare MBA Endowed Scholarship. Their kind generosity creates the first scholarship in support of students for the university’s new program which will start in Fall 2022 and as fundraising is completed will fund one scholar annually in perpetuity.

Donn, known as one of the global healthcare industry’s leading innovators, played on the football team at Florida State and graduated from the university in 1972 with a B.S. degree in general business. He spent more than 30 years as a senior executive with EY, driving unprecedented change in the field. His conviction that the healthcare industry was more about "healthcare" than "industry” drove him to leave retirement in order to serve his community in the transformation of one of the country’s largest public hospital systems. He firmly believed that the work he shared with his clients could cure disease, end hunger and elevate living standards around the world.

The naming of a scholarship in his honor is a permanent reminder of his work and love for his community. Many thanks to the Szaro family for their generosity to College of Business students today and in the future.
