Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Jay Rayburn

Professor Jay Rayburn lived his life in pursuit of advancing the public relations industry and finding solutions for professionals to reach their potential and elevate their career goals. To honor his lifelong philosophy, the Florida State School of Communication at the College of Communication and Information is creating the Dr. Jay D. Rayburn Endowed Professorship.

The Dr. Jay Rayburn Endowed Professorship will support a scholar in the field of public relations whose research and teaching are exemplary. The endowed professorship will provide an appropriate salary stipend to a Professor and/or supplemental funding to support his or her creative activities, research or teaching that explore cutting edge topics in public relations.
