W01 John Wirka, Jr. Memorial Fund

The W01 John Wirka, Jr. Memorial Fund will provide support to the children and immediate family members of those who have been affected by losing a loved one in the line of duty. This fund is in honor of Warrant Officer John Wirka, this fund will serve as a lasting tribute to his service to our nation. John was a Florida State alum in mechanical engineering in the class of 2008. He enlisted in the United States Army in February, 2010 and was deployed multiple times to support the United States Southern and Northern Command and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. He was commissioned as a Special Forces Warrant Officer in 2020. His military education and awards were extensive, including two Bronze Stars. John left behind a legacy of love and is survived by his wife and daughter.
