Bobby Bowden Documentary Film Assets Initiative

Support the next generation of digital storytellers in the College of Communication & Information (CCI) at Florida State University — and help preserve the legacy of FSU’s most beloved Coach Bobby Bowden, by making a meaningful contribution to the Dean’s Excellence Fund.

The Bobby Bowden Dynasty Documentary Film Assets Initiative was launched in spring 2025 through an extraordinary gift-in-kind from Dynasty Productions Group, providing an invaluable collection of film materials for use by faculty and students in the Digital Media Production program and across related disciplines. These assets open the door to unparalleled hands-on learning, giving students the opportunity to work directly with historic footage, develop advanced production skills and create original content that enriches their academic experience.

With access to these materials, students will be able to produce new episodes, conduct interviews, craft strategic social media campaigns and share a broader, more compelling narrative about Coach Bowden’s legacy. The students will also have the opportunity to curate and host an annual screening of the film, ensuring that Coach Bowden’s legacy continues to inspire future generations.

Your support of the Dean’s Excellence Fund empowers students to learn, create and innovate while honoring a figure who shaped the spirit of Florida State University. A gift today strengthens both their education and the enduring story of legendary Coach Bobby Bowden. Any funds raised in excess will be used at the discretion of the dean to support the college.
