Jeff Fusile Memorial Scholarship

The Florida State University College of Business is honored to announce the establishment of the Jeff Fusile Memorial Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship will provide much-needed support in the form of tuition and professional development scholarships for students pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degree within the College of Business. Professional development opportunities may include, but are not limited to, networking events, workshops, travel (conferences, events, internships, study abroad), badges, micro-credentials, case competitions and other activities related to professional development.

Jeffrey “Jeff” Phil Fusile was a proud graduate of the Florida State University College of Bussiness and lifelong Seminole supporter and fan. Jeff always wanted others to succeed, and if he could help them, he would, as it was his passion to give others the tools they needed for success.

Jeff was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, grew up in Middle Virginia, and graduated high school in Duxbury, Massachusetts, where as an athelete he excelled at football and basketball. After years in the north, he headed south to Florida State University, which offered the warm weather and the higher education Jeff was seeking. Jeff was a serious student but also knew how to have fun. He was treasurer for his fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega where he developed many lifelong friendships with his ATO brothers. During his time at FSU, in addition working a part-time job, he also tutored and mentored students in the College of Business, including his future wife and many of his fraternity brothers. Jeff double majored in accounting and finance, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in both. Jeff was a very driven student, passing the CPA exam on his first attempt. After graduating from FSU, Jeff began his accounting career in Tampa, Florida, with Ernst & Young, and then at Paychex and Peterson/Navigant Consulting. Jeff took a position with Price WaterhouseCoopers, and he and his wife relocated to Atlanta where he became a partner with the firm and continued his commitment to helping his community through his involvement with the Untied Way. Jeff was promoted to managing partner with PWC in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he became involved in many community organizations, including serving as a board member for United Way, the local Boy Scout Council, Indianapolis Zoo and many others. When Jeff became president of Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, he and his family moved to Richmond Hill, Georgia. There, Jeff was also president of The Ford Field and River Club Board of Directors. Always in furtherance of helping others, in Richmond Hill, Jeff worked to establish a local non-profit to proactively support the needs of community members.

Jeff made friends thoroughout his career including scores of people of varied ages, locations and backgrounds, who can each tell a story about their time with Jeff and how he improved the lives of those he met. Jeff was an active and passionate member of the community, working closely with both small and large charities and organizations everywhere he lived. Jeff’s love of family and FSU continues through this scholarship in his honor, which is a permanent reminder of his legacy of helping others. Many thanks to the Fusile family and the ATO fraternity for their generosity to College of Business students of today and the future.
